I spend my time watching deer. If I don't see a deer with in the first 1/2 hour I wonder about the place I'm hunting. I'm spoiled and admit it. I scout preseason for traffic. If the Does are there the big boys will show up when they get horny.
I guess I should add the home owners and/or gardner will also let me know when and where they see the one I'm after.
