Default RE: Is SHINING illegal where you live?

Not a story I'm overly proud of...but I was ticketed for shining a light in WV about 15 years ago. We were going hunting, weekend before the gun season opener, it was 10pm, and were passing through a state park. Nobody was around, so we shined one of those hand held spotlights into the field. No bad intentions...

Well...I bounced the light off a house. It was the park rangers house, who called the CO, who wrote us tickets and took our guns. We had to go get them the next day. $160 and no record of it...

My mistake...no excuses. Again, we weren't shooting, and had no intentions of doing so. We were just being stupid. Haven't done it since.

So, to make a long story short...In WV it's illegal no matter what the deal is. Guns or not.

I live in Ohio, and I believe it's also illegal here.
