Default RE: The problem with domestic cats

I was a farmer in rural ohio till last fall we would actively report people we saw dumping unwanted animals we did try to find homes for a lot of the animals and would have them fixed if we had the cash we found many more cats than we did dogs we had the shelter take in as many as they could it was a no kill shelter the animal contoll fella got tired of picking up critters he would just have to put down i have seen some of these dogs kill our goats and try to kill our colts on the farm the cats mostly kill rabbits and quail on our place my wife had to learn how to shoot to protect our live stock we had far more goats killed by dogs running loose than coyotes we counted over 20 wild cats just on our road and a boat load of kittens every spring we would take the kittens to the flee market after we gave them shots to bad we couldnt afford to fix all of them there was always a few kittens we couldnt get rid of we only have so much time so we had to stop at the animal controll officers place for the rest of them people just dont get it that farmers and ranchers cant just take in every stray those city folks just dont get it
