Go to
www.missouriconservation.org and they have a link to their interactive map and area guide. It has proven very helpful to me in the past. You can look at are maps, most of which are topographical so you kinda get a feel for the terrain. I have been hunting public ground in MO with quite a bit of success in the past. Deer hunting is getting better and better on public ground. Just be careful, they all have different regulations. Some allow buck only, with antler point restrictions, some allow buck or doe, some allow only doe....Just read and check it out.
Missouri also has an atlas that has all of the areas in one book. I am not sure where to get it, maybe the website as well.
Good Luck this year. Hope this helps.
