I am wondering if anybody here has hunted this subspecies of whitetail. I have been looking at possibly doing a guided hunt for something that I could not very easily do on an unguided basis within the lower 48. So far I have looked into black bear hunting and now this. I am wondering if hunting Coues Deer is as tough as a lot of the outfitters make it out to be??? I hunt as it is in areas where the valley floors start out at 5000 feet anyway, and in terrain that is very steep and treacherous (see my sig pic). I was wondering about what elevation these deer are hunted. I know they take place from around November until sometime in January, so what are the temps like, weather to possibly be expected (I know, be prepared for everything, but would like to know what other people have experienced)? What are some reputable outfitters to look into?? Don't plan on doing this for at least a year or two, but I like to keep ideas in my head, should an opportunity come up. Any help would be great!!
