Two recent gun purchases. I went to three gun shops, two couldn't get a model 1895marlin in .450 Marlin in the 30 days I "had to" have it. The third,BassPro in Houston had it on the shelf but, for a $100 bucks more than Wal-mart. I took a signed letter from my local Wal-mart, one of the stores that couldn't get it, with "their" price. BassPro matched the Wal-mart price. I saved 20%. My grandson #2 needed his first gun, grandson #1 received an HR 30-30, grandson #2 wanted a .243 youth model, no sights with scope base. Same three stores, Wal-mart had it in their warehouse and got it to me in time for birthday and saved me 30%. Same guns at all three stores. Hey, when I had my central A/C replaced I shopped around, got the best price for the same brand, saved hundreds. Bought a new van last march, shopped around, same vehicle, saved thousands. Shopped around for the best interest on the loan, saved thousands. Buy American made, when you can find it. That should be the issue. But keep your bucks in YOUR pockets by shopping around.
