RE: Any tips
I have found that you get two to three weeks on average to see the big boy. That is beginning of November to end of November. Not that you can't find a spot the will not fit the norm such as my honey hole. I won't shoot until after November on something that I won't mount. Mounting is subjected but gets set by the deer you see on other peoples walls or photos. We have been treated to some dandies on this sight and some are bigger then others. Be patient and let things walk no matter how bad it hurts. Fact is if you do, next time you can say I've let something bigger walk. You'll know when you see the deer to mount. Let what you know be the guide. I will let everything walk until November. If a huge deer walks in front before hand, I'll take the shot (it's does have to be bigger then you friends though). After November, shoot what you want and have fun. If you found the good spots before November, they will be there in December.
Good luck!
