You can goto Walmart and buy a Savage package that includes the gun, bore sited scope, and sling for under $400. You can buy a Rem 700 for about the same price, but you get the gun only.

I've heard a lot of good things about Savage rifles from more than one source. This along with the hard to beat price is why I just bought one.
