Skeeter; you forgot one other important piece of the puzzle. Martin needs to appoint a speaker of house. If this is a liberal, NDP or Independant they lose one more vote. Unfortunately Martin has to be honest while he's in minority. There will be loads of social program spending and he'll set himself up for the next election.

In no way to slight western politicians (I've voted for them the last 3 elections) but Jean Charest may end up being the Conservative ace in the hole.
