Default RE: Mechanical Broadheads?

As a rule no. I have tested a great many broadheads, both mechanical and fixed. What I have found some are a good deal better than others, and some are pure junk! some basic rules for good preformance are, use a head with 1 1/2" cutting diameter or smaller, make sure your bow setup produces at least 55 ft/lbs of energy, and tune your bow for the best arrow flight. Do these things and their are many good mechanicals. The very best I have tried have been the Rocky snypers, followed by the new archery Products shockwaves, and the Rocket steelheads. If you try to use mechanical heads out of a poorly tuned bow your results will not be that good on game. The may fly accuratly but preformance will be greatly reduced.
