RE: Legal or Not Legal, who has........
adams,
I am not calling you a poacher or violator. I am sure that you go out of your way to stay with in the confines of the law. The point is that you can take extraordinary efforts to be a legal law abiding citizen and still break a game law, whether it be on accident or on purpose. I have to decline your offer for financial reasons and for logistical reasons involving vacation days. I already have a trip planned to Illinois and the finances nor the vacation days allow for more than one trip per year. I am sure that you are a good hunter and I am sure that you are an ethical law abiding hunter but I am equally sure that you are human and as capable of mistake as any other human. I equate this to the fact that most police officers will tell you that they can follow ANYONE for two blocks and wrtie them up on some kind of traffic violation. I think the same thing applies to hunting for a season. It is virtually impossible to make it through an entire season without breaking a game law. One of the primary reasons being that we can't remember every single law or statute and even when we do our best efforts sometimes go astray.
