Default RE: Squirrel hunters: your average shot

In most cases I would hunt tree rats with a shotgun, but to add some challenge I started using a ruger 10-22 and found my shots were from 10 feet to 50 yards. To add even more challenge I started using a benjamin sheridan air rifle in .177 cal most my shots were 25 yards and under though I have killed a few beyond 25 yards. But recently I came up with a new game for sh@ts giggles and grins I added a few bells and whisles to my 10-22 like a 20" clerke match heavy barrel and a hogue overmolded stock a trigger job and a 3-9x32mm scope. With Wolf match extra .22 LR ammo I groups less then 1 inch at 100 yards. Now I shoot squirrels at long range I've hit quite a few at 100 yards but sometimes I try extreme ranges at 150+ yards, To this day I have only hit 2 beyond 150 yards and missed a heck of alot more but it sure is alot fun and a good way to hone your long range hunting skills.
