RE: What would you do?
Been there!everyone who hunts public land has,or will.Me-I drive to one of my spots,if i see a strangers truck -i move to spot B.,If im set up like you mentioned-like i said "been there".I drop the call in my lap,kick back & enjoy the show. at this age (37) I've killed my share of birds,and I've learned that trying to outcall the other hunter(s) is not going to make make me feel any better about the situation,even if i were able to "turn" the tom, If i hear the shot,i ease up to the hunter and say something like "That was fun!" introduce myself,relive the hunt a couple min. then I'm out of there!-If no shot,i sit tight till alls quiet,30-1 hr. then i call softly.no answer-spot B.I'll give em the doubt maybe the other guy did'nt know i was there.Now someone slipp'n up between a tom a me.....That's a whole different kinda dirtbag,I,d better not tell you what I've done...I plead the 5th.
