RE: Which rangefinder would you choose, Nikon or Bushnell?
Yes they hav fixed the battery drain problem on the Bushnell yardage pro scout. It takes a lithium battery not a 9volt. I had a Nikon and traded it back for the Bushnell. Busnell IMO has way better customer service if you ever need it. I had a pair of their Insta focus binoculars for over 10 years and one side went out of focus. I sent them in and they were replaced with a brand new set no questions asked.
I aslo have a set of Nikon 10x50 binos that freaked out seeing double images and such. I contacted Nikon about this and they told me to send them in. I did and they denied warranty stating abuse. I only had the things for 2 years and they hardly ever came out of my pack.
That's one reason I will continue to buy Bushnell products.
