I realy like my model 70, its my first winchester but definetly not my last. Its the 270 shortmag featherweight. For about 30-45$ dollars more you can step up to the Model 70 LAMINATE shortmag, the stock adds a little more weight. Add a good Simbs recoil pad and start with the light loads and work your way up.
