I'm shooting a 300 Ultra. Long case/action, and good recoil, but the energy down range is outstanding. Almost everything comes with synthetic stocks now. I had a break put on and brought the recoil down to about that of a 308. If you're wanting to put loads of energy along way down range, this has proven to be a good round.
