Need some input on the short 300 mags. I would like to move up to a 300 magnum cartridge and am looking at the 300RSAUM or perhaps the 300WSM. Am not really interested in the long 300 mags such as the Win. or the Weatherby. Also please comment on some of the rifles available in these two calibers - but not the 'lightweights'. I need a gun that will soak up some of the recoil and a barrel long enough to give out the ballistic advantage of the cartridge. Thanks.
