RE: .243 or 7mm-08?
I would say 7mm-08... I just purchased this caliber to add to my collection. Have the ol trusty 30.06 too, but wanted something a little lighter as well. I don't think you will be disappointed with the 7mm-08.. To me its almost the perfect caliber.
