RE: HUNTER CLASS IDEAS
Hey Guys, I've been thinking alot about this question. Hunter Class is not a beginners class. If you look at the stated charter of the IBO, we've lost our direction for promoting, fostering and encouraging new bowhunters. I think that we need to do alot of brainstorming together and find a solution that works for all from the beginner to the seasoned professional. It is not fair to compete a beginner against seasoned professionals, and this is obviously happening in our "beginner" class. I think that we need to split off a non-competitive class (low entry fee, over 400 see ya up the ladder, no membership required) a "Short range" Hunter 3-D class and a Master "Short range" Hunter 3-D class for the 400ish plus group. I think some version of the "short range" connotation to the class definition will move the egotists onward. You can say what you want but nobody will keep coming back for a beating' and new members are what will make us stronger. I have more ideas, but I wanted to throw this initial thought out for comment.
