The idea of making a beginers class has already been done. Thats what the hunter class is. The hunter class was made to get people into this sport. Before the hunter class a guy with a hunting set up would have to shoot against a guy with and open class set up. The 11 ring I like it gives me the chance to make up and 8 or two. The 11 ring change was voted on at nelsonville the year it was changed and the majority of the shooters liked it. If the IBO started another beginers class some of the guys in the top 20 in the hunter class would go to that class and then their would a problem in two classes. I have thought about this problem that I have with the hunter class scores and I have looked at my own scores. I can shoot up on most 3d courses around my home. I am now shooting up in the IBO shoots. My scores arent high enough to win but they are higher then what I think a beginer would shoot. So no matter what if anything is done with the hunter class I will be going to MBR in 2005. I think every one that is shooting up in the hunter class should ask themselves if it is time to move on.
