After shooting my frined's new Savage 111F with the Accu-trigger this past weekend, I'd say get a Savage. The metal work isn't the prettiest, nor is the stock. But for reliability and accuracy, its a pretty good bargain for the buck.
I wouldn't get the "package" deal though. I don't think the scope is too good a quality. I think its a cheap Simmons. (Simmons makes a pretty good scope but I sort of frown on the real cheapies - my opinion only)
