LUV2, it's been a long time since I lived in Ga. but Cedar Creek WMA had the best deer population in Ga.
It's between Jackson lake and lake Sinclair. It's probably 150 miles southeast from that area where you are moving to.
Didja see the movie "my cousin Vinnie" with Marrissa Tomei ? It was filmed in that area. the sack o suds is a real store about 3 miles from my old huntin grounds.
