Around here, it's not uncommon to see one or two coyotes barking at a dog, but staying just out of range. These yotes try to coax the dog to come out of the yard for a fight. And when they do, the rest of the pack, which hid out of sight, moves in for the kill. I'm dead serious too. That's one of the reasons there shot on sight. My girlfriends farm, has a pack that started to literally come in the yard, and up to her sisters kids. They asked me to shoot them, but they would never come around when I was there. There not stupid!
