Another Good Day!
Went out this morning before work and figured I'd fire up the Outback. Took some Axis arrows that I've got and set my bag out at 40 yards. Fired about 70 arrows. Time after time I could put them in a group about the size of a softball.
I was shooting at a 2" orange dot. I'm always amazed at the accuracey of my set up. Shot about 30 times yesterday but had a 35mph cross wind.[:@] That'll open up a fellers group but the wind might just be blowing when that Monster steps out so I try to practice in the wind too. Just thought I'd pass on a positive morning.
Keep practicing, fall is a comin!
Oh, just in case your wondering, I sometimes practice out to 50 but have never shot at a critter that far. Also someone on this site posted...Shoot small...miss small. That's why I'm using 2" circles at 40. Any smaller and I can't see them. Once a feller gets over 40 his eyesight and hearing start to faulter.[&o]
