I have not tried to put one on a patriot but I did try one on an Extreme VFT and couldn't get fletching clearance. This was before I discovered that you need to set the nock a little high. Basically you set the nock high enough that the arrow is above the berger hole when the rest is in the up position. But I havent tried it this way on the VFT since.
