Cut on contact heads are ONE way to go. They happen to be the heads I prefer, myself, but I've done well with Muzzy and Thunderhead replaceables too. Mechanicals aren't as unreliable as they were some years ago. In fact, most of today's models seem to be getting the job done for a lot of people. But still... I'd rather my broadhead's blades be out there and ready to cut when they hit the target instead of relying on them to open up after they've made contact.
