#1 - Do you plan on takiing a shot at an elk or moose at or beyond 500 yards? No, Most of my Elk will be with in 100-300 yards. But it would be nice to take a shot if it was at 400 yards.

#2 - Do or will you practice enough to take advantage of the added energy, Velocity, and recoil of a cartrige like a 300 ultra? What do you mean? I would try to practice at least 1-2 times a month. Or whenever I had time.

I am only 12 but I shoot a 7mm. The kick dont bother me a bit. I am not afraid of Kick.
