I'm live in Woodstock a few miles North of the Kennesaw area. There some places to check out North of Lake Allatoona.

Two places right off the bat you could consider is the Pine Log WMA and Allatoona WMA. Pine Log WMA is a quota hunt. Check the hunting regulations for details.
