Aught Six, Good post!
It seems that one of the biggest lies that the anti's have perpetuated, is that anyone who stands up for the Second Amendment, and the NRA in particular, are radicals and extremists, who are holed up in the backwoods, itching for trouble!

The vast majority of us are just plain old, down to earth, hard working, common sense , people! We come from all walks of life, all races, colors, and creeds! We recognize the unique freedoms we have as Americans, and we share the common goal of preserving the Second Amendment, because we understand that the freedom we enjoy, was bought at a steep price!
We also know that the Second Amendment is one of the strongest foundations, that our Constitution is built upon! None of this makes us radicals or extremists!

I am not saying that people who are neutral, or even SOME of the anti's, don't share some of these beliefs. They are for the most part, misinformed and/or under the delusion that our freedoms will always be protected by the government!
We, as our forefathers understand that this is not, and never will be a perfect world, and that we need the Second Amendment right to protect our selves from within and from without!

The Second Amendment, is not a hunting right, and certainly not just a privilege! It is a duty! And it is a duty that most of us here take very seriously! No, we are not looking for trouble, but we will meet it head-on, if it comes our way!
