Ken good question!!!
My early years the high was based on laying them in the grass!Inotherwords the kill was everything, and trust me I'm still out to put my hands around a bigole longbeards legs and walk out of the woods with him stuffed in my vest, but over time things like huntin with a good friend or family member and watching them harvest there first bird.Hearing that first gobble each spring.Out witting an old tom who frusterated you all season.Bagging a call shy gobbler in hunter infested woods. The smells, sounds, and just the overall change of seasons.Little things like a few of these mentioned add up over time that you learn to appreciate rather than basing your season on how many birds you bring home!

Yeah I still get pumped in fact now I get even more excited with each new upcoming spring in learning what else to look forward too from years gone by!!!
