RE: OK I'm Giving Up On Scopes!!!
I really don't consider the red dot site the same as a scope.That being said the biggest problems most people have with scopes is that they buy cheap poorly made scopes or have them mounted incorrectly.Poor scopes are not clear and do not necessarily focus very good.If scopes are mounted incorrectly the eye relief will be wrong and the shooter does not get a good sight picture or will be constantly moving his head back and forth to try to see better.If the scope is mounted too high as usually happens with see through rings the shooter can't rest his cheek solidly on the stock and still see through the scope properly.With a little practise a good quality scope properly mounted will provide a faster more accurate sight than any open sight can ever be.
