A guy in western Nebraska had his elk and deer on his property slaughtered. All of the deer surrounding his property were killed too because they would come in contact at the fence line. What I disagreed with was that our Game & Parks had to pay him for the elk and deer he lost. Our G&P are taking an aggressive approach to the issue because they know if it spreads it will wipe out our whole population of deer in the state. The original incident did start in the CO-WY area near the NE border. I hope we get a handle on it soon.
