I use the originals on a couple of my bows. I think on alum/steel rods they work a bit better than carbon.

I think overall they don't provide much benefit on a bow that has a small amount of cable slide travel. On bows with more travel they seem to work better (even if they are not set-up to stop the slide).

I haven't seen the new one yet. I think I'd be a bit leery of spending the extra $ on something with so small of an effect (if any). But if ya got the dough, go for it!
