I'm thinking about using my muzzleloader! Here's the reasoning:

I'd be hunting for the challange and for population control -- pelt damage is not an issue.

If I can hit a 'yote in the vitals with the ML, then a deer will be no problem...so it's a form of practice.

If I can employ scent control, calling, etc. with a 'yote, then those skills will carry over to stand hunting for deer this season.
