Take a ruler and measure from the deepest part of the grip on your bow to the string and then measure from the limb pocket/limb junction to the string. If the measurement is greater at the grip, your bow has a deflexed riser. If the measurement is less at the grip, your bow has a reflexed riser. Generally a deflexed riser bow will be more forgiving of the shooter's grip/torque/pressure imput and will be easier to shoot accurately than a bow with a reflexed riser. There are bows available with reflexed risers that are very easy to shoot accurately and provide the extra speed that deflexed riser bows lack. Deflexed riser bows usually have higher brace heights and less of a power stroke to the arrow at the shot.
