lol I have the Remington 597, and love the thing, but from what I hear I musta got the good one outta the bunch. I’ve had thousands of rounds put through it already, and I’ve had the OCATIONAL jam which would be 1-2 times every 100 rounds. However, I have switched to the Rugar 77/22 Mag. cuz I wanted a bolt action, and MORE POWER. I like the long distance!!! But I will say that the 597 from what I have shot is good out to 60yards for squirrels, and that’s just with the LR. But getting off the topic, I LOOOOOOVE my 77/22
