I think 4400 fps with a 50 grain bullet fired from a factory Remington 22-250 is a little optimistic. If you can get 4000 fps with no high pressure signs then you are fortunate.
DoubleA. Yes we do get that but I miss stated the bullet. The 4400 was with the 40 grain. Sorry about that.[] I will correct the post above. I do know that we were getting over 4000 with the 50 though. I will try to post both loads tonight. They are not in the books as they are quite a bit over the recommended load. Also I switched to a CCI bench rest primer and that uped the speed by almost 150fps. That is where the extra fps came from. If you have never tried them I would recommend them in a controlled environment.

We always start just below what the reloading manual states as a max and work up until we can't get any more powder in the case. If we start to see problems I just use the bullet puller and break down the loads above where when problem started. If no problem is noticed then we keep going.
