Finally got ahold of my taxidermist. He say's it looks more like a Grizzly skull than a Black Bear. I told him it came from New York but still say's it looks like a grizz from what he can make out in the picture.
Trapper I didn't mean the Bears between Montana and BC we different I believe this skull came from New York. I thought maybe a sub-species being from the other side of the country. I have taken quite a few Whitetails and some have the long slender nose and others have the stubby Roman Type. Thaat's what I was trying to say
