New bow!!!
Well, looks like I may have crossed over to the dark-side. I tried not to...I went and shot a Hoyt first, then a Mathews, and a Bow Tech, and a PSE, and Martin. All make good quality bows, but in the end I ended up taking home a 2004 SC Patriot, 29" draw, Birth Cert, 311fps peak weight 71 pounds, and I'm in love. Shot my first 35 yard group of 5 arrows a couple of days ago and needless to say I won't be doing that again with this bow, unless I buy a fletching jig! I busted them all up! The difference between the HCA Carbon 4-Runner I had before and this bow is unbelievable. Quieter by a bunch, a TON less hand recoil, and as stable as it gets for a short bow. These Bow Tech's are for real!
Only minor problem was me monkeying around with the peep, frayed a strand, but the great customer service already helped me out (thanks Pat for the quick response, and thanks to Ray for getting the string out ASAP). Ok, I know nothing sharp around the string from now on, I promise. Woohoo, I can't wait for bowseason!!! Will try to post some pics soon, but my fathers going in for double bypass surgery tommorrow so I may be a short while.
