But then again if you shot it at less than 40yds you might want to bring the BBQ sauce with you.
Heck, the gun is 30 meters long. I figure that anything inside 100 yards will be dead, gutted, and roasted all in one shot.

now you can hunt elk in Alaska and never have to leave Colorado.
Yep, no more having to pack in a camp, hike up the mountains, etc..... I just gotta get someone to fly me in to pick up my kill. LOL.
Does Walmart have ammo for that thing? Whats your favorite handload?
It's kind of a specialized load so Wal-Mart doesn't carry a whole lot of it. I hear that Cabelas will be carying it though. I do prefer to hand load it though. I like a 767pound bullet with 1,267.893 pounds of H50BMG. I get excelent accuracy and velocity with theis load.[8D]
I guess that precise shot placement isn't a factor.
Now stubble, We all know that shot placement is paramount with any gun / cartridge.
All you need now is a good recoil pad and a flash hider.
Yep, I'm waiting for the AWB to go away so I can hide some of that fire ball.
How much does that Hubble Telescope cost????? And does it have 1/4 MOA click adjustments??
I don't think I could handle the bazillion foot/pounds of recoil though.
I'm gonna be calling up Leupold on Monday to see if they can hook me up and make me a mark 4 long range scope for it.
Recoil? What recoil? It's nothing that a Decelerator pad and a muzzle brake couldn't tame.
Never hunting Elk before,I'm just guessing.Using that wouldn't you be a little under gunned?I would move at least to the next size making it a sure kill.
Yeah, I do feel a little undergunned. But that one is the biggest that I could afford. I picked it up at the local surplus store. A new one was just out of my price range. I'm gonna have to choose my shots very carefully.
