yes BOB .. i am hunting private land with many other birds roosting along with the gobbler ... i will try the ambush point thing , cuz i think i found a good place to try next time im out ,it is in hardwoods that are moderatley open except for one thick spot , in the middle of the thicket there is more open woods , and they usually fly to taht spot in the middle of the thicket , im thinking they do taht , scratch around a bit , then from the comfort of the thicket , can move outward once they have made the decision that the coast is clear.... I did see a gobbler alone today strutting , bt was unable to setup on him ... Ill keep pluggin away and hopefully fill my tag with some tasty turkey
