Default How Should I approach This?

Hey fellow hunters,
Born and raised in Idaho, I am used to hunting weary mulies and vocal bulls. My question is this. I am new to the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State. I know that they have the biggest Rosevelt Elk heard in the Norht West and also the home to the Columbian Blacktail. From what I have read this is hunting unlike I am used to. Besides scouting and spending quality time in the woods. What should I look for? Any traits they might have? Or any where I can get some good info? Your help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Muliefever
