I hunt all season in a pair of lacrosse burly 800's. Yea a little warm in the early part, but they keep my feet warm in the end. The cheaper uninsulated idea is a good one. My boots are fairly comfortable for my walk in and while standing in my spot. However I have had some instances where real long walks and/or drags really put a strain on my lower leg comfort level while in those boots.
