I agree with silentassasan. I think that a "floating" head would penetrate better than one that is spinning, especially in a fixed blade. Think about it, when twisting and then hitting an object the blades would seem to have a tendency to grab the hide and torque the entire arrow. If you stick a broom handle into a fan, the whole fan wantst to flop over (a little trick I learned as a kid). Whereas a non-spinning broadhead should be able to use all of it's forward momentum to plunge farther/faster through the hide and entrails. Just my thinking though. If anyone comes up with a "floating" or non-rotating broadhead... I called it first and I want my monthly check!
