I've had a pistol grip stock on my 835 since 1994! For Deer or turkey it can't be beat for a nice steady hold. For upland or duck shooting however it doesn't lend itself to quickly mounting to your shoulder. That said, the Moss. 500 & 835 stocks are interchangeable.
