Default RE: To gut or not to gut?

You know it is interesting that the origonal post gut or not to gut before the attacks got personal (first sign that your loosing the argument). The only thing that was dertemined you loose if you choose not to gut was ribs and loins which some have said they don't waste time on the smaller deer to get the ribs. Some also did't know about the tender loins. So how much do you really waste? Not much. If you want shoulders you can get them with out gutting.

I would also point out that if you were not going to worry about deboning up front you could have the hind qtrs and shoulders off in about the sametime. You would just need a small golf ball size rock, a string and bumper. With these tools you can have the deer skinned to the hoofs in under 5 mins. After that it doesn't take long to pull off the meat.
