Default Sears, Roebuck, and Co. Model 25

My uncle recently gave me a gun that belonged to my grandfather. It is a Sears, Roebuck, and Co. 22 rifle Model 25. This info is engraved on the side of the gun. Also, there is a long series of numbers on the side with a (.) in the middle of the numbers. I am assuming that this is the serial number. I'm not sure about this though. Along with those numbers is a Pat. number. On the opposite side of this barrel is more engraving that says that this gun can shoot 22 longs and 22 shorts. If anyone has any information on this kind of gun please reply. I am wanting to find out as much as I can about this gun. Thank you!
