Try to clean it up the best you can then leave it alone.Chances are no matter what you do it will still be seen short of refinishing the complete stock.These things happen.Something you'll just have to learn to live with.Without seeing it I don't think there will be a easy fix.If you use anything sooner or later it will get marked.Contact Remington and see if they have the clear coat available for touching up.I doubt if they do but it's worth a call.It's probably a polyurathane(sp?)of some sort.I'm with bigbulls and would leave it alone instead of making it worse.Like the old saying: If it works don't fix it.
