Turkeys and the wind????????
Ok gues heres the scenario..............Here in N.W. CO the wind is on the rise, especially up in the high country where were gonna be (8000+ ft.). What im thinkin is i know the general area where the birds are roosting, feeding and such. Its on a northwest facing slope with variably thick pines and scrub oak. What im thinking is come in down wind from um and sneek up the ridge till we get in REAL close if possible. Close enough that they can here the calls over the wind anyway. Then get setup as quietly as possible and go to work. Anyway its either this or set up up wind and call um to us, bad part of this is the wind keeps me from hearing them till there right on top of us. So lets here what the experts have to say?????
