Sounds like the trad guys need to learn how to get along with others
You'd have to shoot traditional to understand why. Same game but two completely different worlds. They do not work well on the same course at the same time.
Guys that shoot traditional like being active. Guys who shoot open are about as active as giant tree sloths. For an open class guy, he says it's impossible to shoot 30 targets in less than 5 hours. A traditional guy says he could shoot 30 targets in recurve class, eat lunch, take a little nap and then shoot 'em again to post a score in longbow class within 5 hours. If the flippin' compounders would get out of the way.
In other words, a traditional shooter at a compound shoot has nothing to look forward to other than a day of abject BOREDOM.
Oh... Then you factor in the fact that it's like shooting in a morgue around those open class guys. Sheesh! You ever been to an all-traditional shoot? People are joking and laughing, having a good time.
Really, there simply isn't any reason for a traditional shooter to go to an open shoot, if he can avoid it.
